How Does It Work
To apply for Master Advance, follow these simple steps.

Complete your application. Fill out the application form at the bottom of this page.

We’ll review your submission
The Master Advance team will review your application, and if successful, they’ll ask you for access to some extra data points, such as your Spotify for Artists account, to deep dive into the numbers.
03.
Offer
We’ll get in touch with you to provide an offer document, outlining the advance amount and terms.
04.
Acceptance and Payment
Once the offer is accepted by you, and provided your catalogue is distributed by MasterStreams, the payment will be in your account within 14 days.
05.
Keep track of your recoup status
Your advance is recouped against royalty earnings each month until repaid. You can see the progress of your repayments in your payments dashboard.

AM I ELIGIBLE?
Eligibility depends on the amount of streaming data that we have to work with. Your music needs to be distributed by MasterStreams and generate income every month. Don’t currently distribute with MasterStreams? No worries, we can still run the numbers, and as long as you can switch to us, you can still access all the benefits of a Master Advance.
HOW MUCH?
If you’ve got an amount in mind for your next project, be sure to let us know. Prepayment amounts are individual to each artist and range from a few hundred dollars up to tens of thousands, depending on your current streaming numbers, expected future sales, and future release activity.
HOW CAN I USE THE PAYMENT?
Master Advance is designed to help artists take the next step in their music career. Unlocking your royalties early gives you the flexibility to record more often, purchase merch for your next tour, hire a PR or marketing expert, or any other activity that can give your music a boost to take you to the next level.
IS THIS IS A RECORD DEAL?
No. This is about giving artists the resources to STAY independent. You still keep 100% of your copyrights – you won’t be signing away your master rights or publishing like a traditional record deal, and you’ll remain in full control of your creativity and artistic vision.
